Declaration of Baltazar Śliwicki, the Crown treasury scribe, against the Łuck kahal and its patrons regarding the poll tax

Baltazar Śliwicki, the Crown treasury scribe sent to collect Jewish poll tax from the Volhyn province, testified against the Łuck Jews and the burgrave of Łuck, who did not allow the payment of the due tax. The Łuck Jews initially offered only 2,000 zlotys and wanted the rest of the tax to be collected from their subordinate towns. In addition, he comes out against Kisielin Jews and their patrons in a similar case.
